Forged Men’s Ministry
The Goal
Forged Men’s biblical training will focus on educating born-again men within the body of Christ to be Christ-centered leaders. Biblical training of men seeks to turn male believers into thoroughly equipped soldiers in the battle for men’s souls, no matter where they are now in their maturity in Christ.
The Name
Forged Men’s Biblical Training seeks to transform men into tried, tested, and proven individuals (forged as by fire) for the use of the Master in performing His will for His Kingdom and to His glory.
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
The Expectation
This is a disciplined and focused ministry. We are looking for men willing to sacrifice for the sake of the Kingdom. Jesus chose 12 men willing to give up all to follow Him. He invested his wisdom, energy, time, and experience into these 12 men. The church and our homes need similar men of character to pour time and energy into. The men's bible study is not a social club, but a training ground to make disciples of Christ Jesus.
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets and followed him.”
The Burden
Without the leadership and spiritual maturing of the men, the homes and the church will fall into wickedness in the same way our nation has. It is the desire of church leadership to raise leaders and see men become more spiritually mature to lead in their homes and church.
“In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”
The Purpose
Men trained through bible studies will serve in many areas within the church. They will lead in prayer, in accountability, in bible study, in mentorship, and in discipling in the home, in the church body and outside the church in the surrounding community.
“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
The Vision
Church leadership desires to see this effort thrive in the training and equipping of men who can lead in their homes and in the church. If done right & the Lord is in it, activities should grow to include fellowship, small groups, community and church-wide service, stewardship, discipleship, and evangelistic efforts. Men's biblical training will change the carrying out of ministry. It will include women and children as leaders are trained. The most critical step in this endeavor is the training and equipping of leaders (Men).
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
The Authority
No man is above Christ. Jesus Christ alone is the church's head and every man's head. If we do everything right but leave out the saving Gospel that our Lord provides, we have failed and are disobedient to our Master's command. Therefore, all activities must align with Scripture. We seek to please our Savior in our teaching with our speech, actions, attitude that is shown by how we love one another and our neighbors.
"For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and is the savior of the body.”
